This engaging session invites PreK-12 educators to explore how writing can be a powerful catalyst for student well-being, resilience, and post-traumatic growth. Grounded in the principles of Positive Psychology, Flourishing Writers integrates evidence-based strategies that foster positive emotions, character strengths, mindfulness, hope and optimism across all grade levels.

Participants will discover how intentional, developmentally appropriate writing practices such as gratitude journaling, strengths-based storytelling, goal-setting reflections and narrative reframing can help students process adversity, build emotional awareness and cultivate self-worth.

Educators will leave with a toolkit of practical strategies and writing prompts designed to spark engagement, inspire confidence and support growth. By embedding practices that promote joy, curiosity, compassion and resilience into writing. This session empowers teachers to create classrooms where students don’t just learn to write, they flourish.
